TEMO, Inc a custom designer and developer of defense and space industry products and ISOmatrix Inc are announcing that TEMO has received registration certification to the AS9100 Rev. B standard from registrar Perry Johnson Registrars. 

 

The AS9100 Quality Management System certification places TEMO in the Oasis database which enables qualified access to the larger aerospace market.  Their certification to AS9100 is another testament to the quality commitment TEMO makes to its customers.

 

Component Design and Assembly Specialists:

TEMO designs, develops, tests, repairs and assembles highly technical, complex, custom components for the Defense & Space industries including Infrared sensor and cooler assemblies for DOD and Space applications.  It supplies high profile, tier-1 customers such as: BAE sysems, SAIC, Teledyne, Lockheed Martin, L3 Communications, Goodrich Corp, Fairchild Imaging Systems, and more.

 

Quality Systems Development and Implementation:

Environmental Management - Validity vs. Greenwashing

The concept of "Environmental Management Systems" (EMS) is getting plenty of positive press these days, but most executives surveyed still don't know what Environmental Management really is and/or how to get it started for their organizations. Independent "Green" activities are good, but at what point is your company able to make a valid statement that it is Environmentally Managed?   ISO 14001 is the internationally accepted standard for Environmental Management and by following the basic ISO structure it does accomplish validity and does command industry respect.

 

Environmental Management - Definition

 

Simply stated, an EMS is a management tool designed to provide a data-driven understanding of the physical "inputs" and "outputs" of a facility.

Companies who take the steps to develop an EMS typically decide to do it for two main business reasons:

  1. Save Money - on resources, energy, raw materials, waste, etc

  2. Gain a marketing advantage - appeal to the increasing number of customers who are preferentially selecting Environmentally Managed suppliers.

Winning New Business Through Referral Networks

In this challenging economic environment it is the value of our networks that creates personal and professional growth. In industries where relationships and trust drive business, this is even more critical. As we all knock on the door of new customer opportunities in 2009, the key to the lock is our referral network of satisfied current customers.
Today's modern Social Media tools are great (i.e. LinkedIn) for providing personal histories of work performance and written recommendations, but nothing works as well as a personal introduction from an existing client.

FOUNTAIN VALLEY, CA--(Marketwire - February 13, 2009) - Gaffoglio Family Metalcrafters, Inc and ISOmatrix Inc are announcing that they have received certification for Metalcrafters to the AS9100 Rev.B standard for aerospace suppliers from registrar, BSI America. The certification of their Quality Management System enables Metalcrafters to supply their manufactured composites, metal, and glass components to the aerospace industry including specialty curved and tempered glass.

Metalcrafters is a family owned business with a distinguished history of producing exceptionally high quality aerospace and automotive prototypes with customers that include Northrop Grumman, PPG Aerospace, GKN Aerospace, Nordam, Marvin Land Systems, ISL, Porsche, Mercedes, BMW, Bentley, Chrysler, GM, Ford, and Toyota. In 1998, Metalcrafters added component and subsystems manufacturing for the aerospace industry.
